Cachar Police seized ₹80000 fake note in Katigorah, One arrested

Acting on tip-off, Katigorah Police, Cachar launched an operation in the area of Katigorah Chowringhee to arrest a fake note supplier on Tuesday evening.

In this operation, the police team were successful to arrest the fake note supplier, identified as Sajjib Uddin Mazarbhuiya. Police also seized fake note of Rs.80,000 from his possession.

On December 3, a team of Katigorah Police, Cachar arrested fake note supplier Sajjib Uddin Mazarbhuiya. While searching a stash of fake ₹500 notes recovered in his possession. Upon counting, the counterfeit notes totaled ₹80,000. He was arrested, while he was headed towards Kalain in a passenger auto-rickshaw. The auto headed towards Kalain was also taken into police custody. The driver of the Auto fled from the scene.

The arrested person Sajjib Uddin Mazarbhuiya is a resident of Ganirgram village in Katigorah, Cachar.

An investigation is going on into this matter.
