Cachar police on November 3, magnaged to seized Rs 7 Crore suspected heroin and Yaba Tablet in the area of Lailapur, Cachar and arrested one person.
Based on secret inputs, Cachar police launched an operation at Lailapur area intercepted a vehicle. By searching the vehicle police recovered 30 soap cases containing 375 grams suspected heroin and 20,000 Yaba Tablets.
The market value of the seized items would be Rs 7 Crore. Police also managed to arrested a person in connection of it.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma took his social media handle X and stated, that the police are dedicated to public safety and maintaining law and order.
He wrote, โActing on credible intelligence, @cacharpolice conducted a special operation today at Lailapur, leading to the seizing of a vehicle and the apprehension of an individual. The search resulted in the recovery of 30 soap boxes containing approx. 375 grams of suspected heroin, alongside 20,000 YABA tablets.
