A suspected Gelatin-based bomb explosion took place at Tarinipur area of Katigorah Cachar on Wednesday afternoon. The bomb blast near the Jandu Constructions, a compony engaged at the Bharatmala road project. No casualties reported from incident area.
According to reports, the explosion took place at around 4 pm on March 19, where only a tree damaged in the blast.

A local worker stated that the blast took place at around 4 pm in Tarinipur part 3. He also speculated that a remote detonation device may have been used, as no one was spotted near the site when the explosion occurred.
Cachar SP Numal Mahatta stated that the explosive device was of low intensity. He said it is a gelatin-based bomb, citing preliminary findings.
Authorities are investigating a potential link between the explosion and a previous ransom demand allegedly connected to a Lashkar-e-Taiba operative. On February 21, an unidentified caller reportedly demanded ₹10 crore from Jandu Constructions, leading to the arrest of four suspects. However, the prime accused remains at large.
