BCCI has announced today annual central contract for the season 2024-2025, in this contract we seen the name of Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan, which marks returns of them. The contracts will be active from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.
In the season of 2023-2025 both Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan name was left out.
Several new player have found the field contact first time. We will see the name in the contacts.
The central contracts were divided into four categories, A+, A, B, C depending on the player performances. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah remain in the top A+ category. Unlike last year, the BCCI did not include any fast bowling contracts this time.
Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer were left out of the last central contract due to disciplinary reasons. However, Iyer has since returned to the Indian team in ODIs and Kishan is performing well in the ongoing IPL 2025.
Iyer also played a key role in India’s Champions Trophy win earlier this year. Ishan Kishan return in team as his name is added in Grade C.
