An Assam Police official, identified as Ujjal Bora, lost his life after a truck hit him during an operation in heavy fog at Churaibari check post, Bajaricherra, Assam-Tripura border on Saturday morning.
The accident occurred while the police were attempting to intercept a suspicious truck.
According to reports, the truck rammed into the constable during the operation, after that it run from the scene. Assam police vehicle chases the truck. During the chase, both the truck and the police vehicle lost control and crashed on the roadside.
Police arrest the truck driver and handyman, identified as Abhijit Sabdokar and Giyash Uddin. Police also recovered and seized huge amount of Yaba Tablets from the Truck after searching it.
Further investigation is going on.
