Assam Cyber Crime Bust: Assam Police on Wednesday night conducted a raid in the area of Moraibari, Morigaon district of Assam, which result 8 cybercriminals arrested. This raid was a part of an ongoing crackdown on a cyber crime syndicate which has been active in the Assam.
The raid has arrested the 8 individual gang of cyber criminals identified as Jahanur Ali, Fardis Ali, Wakibur Rahman, Hussain Jahangir Ali, and Babul Islam. The other three suspects identity are in the process to verify.
During the operation, one of the detainees showed serious health problems and was taken to Nagaon Medical College for urgent treatment.
Morigaon Police has started interrogating the arrested individual to know whether there are individual in connection of cyber crime networks in the area.
In the past year, over 200 cyber criminals have been arrested and jailed, in the region.
