Assam State School Education Board has cancelled HS 1st Year all remaining exam announced on April 4, 2025. The exam cancelled due to upcoming Panchayat Election 2025.
The decision was taken at board meeting on April 4. It came after the teacher assigned for elections duties. It becomes difficult to take exam before May 20, so the decision of cancellation was taken.
On March 20, the HS 1st year all exam has postponed after reports of Exam paper leaked surfaced. In response 10 private schools has suspended, these schools are under investigation and won’t receive practice materials or be allowed access to official papers.
Among the 10 school three are from Barak Valley. They are Edith Douglas HS School, Presidency Sr. Secondary School (Cachar) and Hailakandi Science Sr. Secondary School (Hailakandi).
Students who appeared for exams in March 2025 will still be eligible for the HS Final Exam in 2026. For those wanting to practice or evaluate performance, question papers can be collected from their lead colleges.
However, students from suspended schools cannot access these papers.

Unit tests, Half-yearly exams Or the average of completed subjects
The last date for uploading marks is June 15, 2025.
