A Shocking incident came which stunned Guwahati, a mother and her lover arrest of killing 10 years old boy, whose dead body found stuffed inside a trolley bag on Sunday.
The victim boy, identified as Mrinmoy Barman, class 5 student of Navodaya Jatiya Vidyalaya. According to reports, the dead body discovered by a local scrap collector along the roadside between Basistha and Indira Nagar, Guwahati.
The man who discovered it, first noticed it as suspicious trolley bag which is abandoned among the bushes, when he goes near it. He made horrifying discovery of human legs sticking out of the partially open bag and immediately called police.
The Basistha police immediately arrived at the scene and launched investigation in the case. The boys identity reveal from the school record. The boy had been reported missing by his mother, Dipali Rajbongshi. However, when the police questioned her, they found her story didn’t add up. After hours of interogation, both Dipali and her partner, Jyotimoy Haloi, admitted to the crime.
According to the police, the couple saw Mrinmoy as an obstacle to their relationship and decided to murder him. They allegedly lured the child to Basistha by offering him chocolates, then transported him on a motorcycle while carrying a pre-selected suitcase to conceal the body. After committing the crime, they attempted to destroy evidence and returned home, with Dipali feigning concern for her missing son.
The police suspect that the murder took place near the body discovered. The school bag also found near the dead body. Both the suspects the boy mother Dipali and lover Mrinmoy admitted their crime. In the present of the magistrate the dead body recovered and sent for postmortem.
The brutal nature of the crime, particularly with the involvement of the child’s own mother. This incident has sparked widespread outrage across Guwahati. Dipali Rajbongshi is currently in custody at Basistha Police Station, with investigations continuing.
