Popular Assam cop Lakhimpur SP (IPS) Anand Mishra has resigned from his service. He popularly known as Singham-style. Mishra has resigned from his service with effect from January 16,2024.
He is an Assam -Meghalaya Cadre, 2011 RR batch. He has tendered his resignation to Assam Chief Secratory pawan Borthakur on December18, 2023.

In his letter he wrote, “This is to submit my unconditional resignation from the IPS to pursue a life of freedom and independence that I want to realize through various social services and other means that are beyond the mandate of IPS.”
Some sources indicate that Mishra is considering the possibility of running as a candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, eyeing the Buxar constituency in Bihar.
