Ahmedabad Plane Crash: On June 12, a tragic Air India Flight AI-171 crash near Airport in Meghani area, Ahmedabad at the BJ Medical College hostel and campus. In the plane there was 242 people was on board. Among them 230 passenger, 2 pilots and 10 cabin crew members. Among the passenger 169 are Indian nationals, 53 are British nationals, 1 Canadian national and 7 Portuguese nationals.

All the 241 people on board of the flight died in crash but one luckily managed to survived. The plane crash during takeoff from Sardar Vallabhai Patel Airport in Ahmedabad in afternoon.

According to reports, when the plane crashed the students was doing lunch in the hostel.

One Passenger of Air India Flight AI-171 survived

The Only passenger of Air India Flight AI-171, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a British national of Indian origin survived. Although all the other passenger with crew member lost their life in the place crash. There was 242 people onboard, among them only he survided.

How did Vishwash Kumar Ramesh survive from crash plane in Ahmedabad?

Only one person made it out alive—and no one’s really sure how.

He was sitting in seat 11A, right next to an emergency exit. When the plane broke apart during the crash, he somehow ended up in the front half, while the back section went up in flames.

Dazed and injured, he managed to walk away from the wreckage. That’s where rescuers found him—the only survivor in a disaster that claimed 241 lives.

PM Narendra Modi today, June 13 went to Ahmedabad and meets the only survived passenger of the crash plane and injured people.

Before arriving at the hospital, he inspected the accident area, where the flight crash.

He stated, “Visited the crash site in Ahmedabad today. The scene of devastation is saddening. Met officials and teams working tirelessly in the aftermath. Our thoughts remain with those who lost their loved ones in this unimaginable tragedy.”

He also stated, “The tragedy in Ahmedabad has stunned and saddened us. It is heartbreaking beyond words. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with everyone affected by it. Have been in touch with Ministers and authorities who are working to assist those affected.”

Air India Ahmedabad Plane Crash: DNA Testing Underway at BJ Medical College; Bodies to Be Released After Confirmation

Officials at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital have announced that the bodies of passengers who died in the Air India plane crash will only be handed over to their families after DNA identification is complete.

The process of collecting DNA samples is currently underway at a special testing center set up near the PSM department on the ground floor of BJ Medical College. These samples are being sent to the lab for matching with those provided by relatives.

Given the severity of the crash and the condition of the remains, officials say the DNA verification process could take at least three days or longer.
