AR Rahman on Tuesday evening, announced about separation from his wife Saira Bhanu after 29 years of marriage. Hours later his bassist Mohini Dey and her husband composer Mark Hartsuch also announced about their separation.

By ending their marriage Mohini stated through Instagram Post, โWith a heavy heart, Mark and I announce that we have separated.
First, as a commitment to our friends and family, this is a mutual understanding between us.
While we remain great friends, we both have decided that we want different things in life and separation through mutual agreement was the best way to proceed.โ
In Addition she stated, โWe will still be working on several projects together including MaMoGi and Mohini Dey groups. We have always prided ourselves on working well together and that will not be stopping any time soon ๐
The big thing we want to wish is love to everyone out there in the world.โ
She also stated, โWe appreciate your support in all of the ways you have given it to us. Please honor the decision we have made by being positive towards us at this time and respecting our privacy. We would appreciate no judgements.โ
She made her announcement of the separation via post on November 19, 2024 jointly with her husband.

Mohini Dey is an Indian Bass Player, who born at Mumbai on 20 July, 1996. She is a bass player from Kolkata, is part of Gaan Banglaโs Wind of Change and Coke Studio. The 29-year-old launched her self-titled debut album in August 2023 and has since performed in over 40 shows around the world as a member of Rahman’s troupe.
