A student of class 10 dies by suicide after failing Assam HSLC Exam 2025, in Borkhola, Cachar on Saturday April 12. The deceased identified as Ruksana Khanam Barbhuiya, a resident of Borkhola.
According to reports, the girl had appeared HSLC Exam this year, the result has declared on April 11, Friday. Upon learning about that she failed in exam, she was devasted. On Saturday in the early morning at around 4:40 or 5:00 am, the family of the girl found that she was no more.
Rushana’s father stated that “It was around 4:50 or 5 early in the morning on Saturday when I heard a noise, and then my younger daughter told me that she was no more.”
He also added that Rukshana had been staying at her maternal uncle’s home for a week before exam result. He called her to come back at home as and she said that she would come in the evening.
The father also mentioned that Rusksana had allegedly posted a WhatsApp status before taking the extreme step, which showed she was emotionally upset.
After the discovery of her lifeless body the family member immediately informed the Borkhola Police Station. Sub-Inspector Nilkamal Baruah, Moniram Tita and ASI Gautam Nath arrived the scene. They conducted a preliminary investigation. The dead body sent for post-mortem on Saturday.
