UPI Payment Down: The Unified Payments Interface service down which widespread disruption across India on Saturday, which make third outage within a month. Popular Third Party App like Google Pay, Paytm, Phone Pe are facing disrupt, which leaving thousands of User unable to complete digital transaction.
According to Down Detector, the UPI payment issue began surfacing around 11:26 am, with a spike in user reports by 11:40 a.m.—over 222 complaints of failed UPI payments were logged during the peak of the outage.

They stated, “NPCI is currently facing intermittent technical issues, leading to partial UPI transaction declines. We are working to resolve the issue, and will keep you updated. We regret the inconvenience caused.”

Social Media Flooded with user complaints and Funny videos caused by UPI Service disruption. Many users reported failed transaction while trying to pay for the things they buy.
A social media user stated, “All major banks and UPI are down. SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, BOI. Google Pay as well”
Another User, “सबकी लंका लगी हुई आज , ये दुकान वाला बोल रहा है पैसे दो नहीं तो G-pay करना होगा #UPIDown”
X User stated, “Stuck here at this fuel station from past 20+ minutes because UPI server is down, I’m not carrying cash/card and I already fueled up my car.”
Another User stated, “Here is a video of me and my friend cleaning vessels cuz we couldn’t pay the money using UPI , so restaurant owner asked us to wash vessels !!”
Previous Outages
Previously on April 2, a significant outages saw 514 complaint as per DownDetector, with 52% of users experiencing issues while transferring funds on UPI apps.
Another outage took place on March 26, where many users of UPI apps like Google Pay, Paytm faces disruptions. Over 3000 complaints reported on DownDetector. Users unable to do payment for 2-3 hours.
