A Shocking incident took place in Kahilipara, Guwahati, where a young man killed by his friends following heated altercation during drinking session on Tuesday night.
According to reports, a young man identified as Akash Choudhury, worked as a Rapido rider, went out drinking with four friends at a local shop near the Kahilipara Power house, Guwahati. After some time at around 8:45 pm this friendly gathering become violent.
Reports suggest that during the confrontation, Akash was not only assaulted but also allegedly pushed in front of an oncoming vehicle, further worsening his condition.
One of the accused, Jiyarul Ali, transported the severely injured Akash to Hayat Hospital in an auto-rickshaw. But, Akash was declared dead by doctor on arrival at around 9:15 PM.
The four accused identified as Banjit Rajbongshi (27), Jiyarul Ali (28), Debabrat Mallik (27), and Tarun Buragohain (25).
According to Jiyarul, the group had planned the drinking session, but Akash became highly intoxicated. Jiyarul claimed that he asked Akash to come down from the upper level of the shop, but the events that led to the fatal assault remain unclear.
Authorities are investigating the case to uncover the full sequence of events and the motives behind this tragic killing.
