A shocking incident took place in Guwahati, where a woman allegedly gang raped by nine youth. This incident took place in Boragaon, Guwahati area.
According to source, the accused not only committed the crime but also film he crime. The disturbing video gone viral on social media, after that the police arrest 7 accused in connection of the case.
Diganta Barah, Commissioner of Police of Guwahati said that at around 2:30 am on Friday, Gaorchuk police station had received information from Dharmendra Kalita, a media person at a local news channel that a video was circulating among the residents of the Boragaon area.
Speaking the video he state that, “The video allegedly depicts a gang rape incident involving a group of youths and a woman. Based on this information and through analysis of the video, Officer-in-charge Gorchuk police station Inspector mayuejit Gogoi and SI Kajal Dutta, along with the Gorchuk Police staff, immediately conducted raids in various locations under the jurisdiction of Gorchuk and Jalukbari Police Stations. During the search operation, seven individuals were arrested who had been identified in the video,”
The arrested youth of Gangrape in Guwahati, identified as
- Kuldeep Nath (23), son of Shri Sabin Nath, resident of Gakhirchowk, Boragaon.
- Bijoy Rabha (22), son of Shri Kanak Rabha, resident of Shiv Nagar Path, Boragaon.
- Pinku Das (18), son of Shri Rabin Das, resident of Nizarapar, Boragaon.
- Gagan Das (21), son of Shri Ashu Das, resident of Nizarapar, Boragaon.
- Saurav Boro (20), son of Shri Durga Boro, resident of Bakul Nagar, Boragaon.
- Mrinal Rabha (19), son of Shri Sanjib Rabha, resident of Pachim Boragaon, Nizarapar.
- Dipankar Mukhiya (21), son of Late Shri Deba Mukhiya, resident of Tetelia, Padumbari, under Jalukbari Police Station.
This youth has arrested today early morning. A manhunt launched to arrest the remaining prime suspects. Further investigation is going on.
