On Thursday morning, five terrorists were killed and two Indian Army injured in an encounter that erupted between security forces and terrorist in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Based on intelligent input about the presence of suspected terrorist at Kadder in the Behibagh area of Kulgam district, on Wednesday night security forces along with Jammu and Kashmir police launched and operation.
However, the situation turned into battle fight as the terrorist first open fire at forces.
In a post on X, the China Crops โ Indian Army stated, โOn 19 December 24, based on specific intelligence input regarding the presence of terrorists, a joint operation was launched by the Indian Army & Jammu and Kashmir Police at Kader, Kulgam. Suspicious activity was observed by vigilant troops, and on being challenged, terrorists opened indiscriminate and heavy volume of fire. Our own troops effectively retaliated. Operation is in progress.”
In another post they stated, โFive terrorists have been neutralised by the security forces in the ongoing Operation in Kader, Kulgam. During the firefight two soldiers have suffered injuries and have been evacuated for medical care. Operation is in progress.โ
