A tragic road accident took place in Bajali, where five youth died in the spot and 2 injured seriously on Friday night. The accident occurred when their vehicle crashed with a truck.
According to reports, the accident occurred late at night on National highway 27 in Bhawanipur. The vehicle was returning from Nalbari to Barpeta after attending Raas Festivities when it struck with stationary truck parked on the side of the highway.
The collision was so severe that four passengers died on the spot. The victims were identified as Asis Habib Khan, Mizaur Rahman, Royal Khan, and Moirul Haque, all from Barpeta.
Three injured people were taken to Barpeta Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Sadly, one of them, Mizazur Khan, died during treatment, raising the death toll to five.
A local resident stated by describing the incident, “They were returning from the Raas Mahotsav in Nalbari when they tragically collided with the truck. It’s a heart-breaking scene at the site and is a tragedy for all.”
