During the Operation Sindoor debate in Lok Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah announced that the three Pakistani terrorist killed on July 28, in Operation Mahadev are the terrorist involved in Pahalgam terror attack in April, where 26 tourists killed.
He also named all the three terrorist as Suleman, Afghan, and Jibran—members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Among the terrorist Suleman is the mastermind.
Reports surfaced on Monday that Suleiman and two other terrorists had been killed during Operation Mahadev, which was launched near Srinagar. However, it was only on Tuesday that Union Home Minister Amit Shah confirmed their direct involvement in the Pahalgam terror attack while addressing Parliament.

Shah explained that the suspects’ identities were verified through multiple sources. “The individuals arrested by the NIA for sheltering these terrorists were shown the bodies. They identified them as the ones responsible for the Pahalgam attack,” he said.
But that wasn’t the only evidence. “We didn’t rely solely on those identifications,” Shah told the House. “We conducted forensic analysis of the bullet shells recovered from the attack site. The weapons seized from the terrorists during Operation Mahadev were sent to a forensic lab in Chandigarh the same night. The ballistic test results matched the ammunition used in the attack, confirming their involvement beyond doubt.”
He added that Operation Mahadev was launched the very night the Pahalgam attack occurred, indicating a swift and coordinated response by security forces.
