Today a tragic train accident took place in Jharkhand, where two people died and 20 other injured after 18 coaches of the of the Mumbai-Howrah train derailed on Tuesday morning.

The Mumbai-Howrah train derailed at around 3:45 am near the Chakradharpur area, between Rajkharswan West Outer and Barabamboo in Jharkhand.

West Singbhum Deputy Commissioner Kuldeep Chaudhary said, โ€œTwo persons were killed and 20 injured as 18 coaches of Howrah-Mumbai Mail derailed near Barabamboo. Rescue operations are on and an NDRF team is rushing to the spot.โ€

Railway officials said that the incident occurred after a good train which comes from the opposite side derailed and impacted the passenger train.

According to information, 18 coaches derailed. 16 coaches were passengers and one car and one pantry car.
