On 28th July, a vehicle carrying Bol Bom pilgrims overturned near Bamunigaon in Kaliabor, Nagaon district of Assam. In this accident at least 18 people injured seriously.
As per sources, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which went off the road and fell into a roadside ditch. The pilgrims were on their way to Hatimurali to collect holy water. The pigrims has started their journey from Nijori village in Rekapahar. As today is Monday and the sawan month, where devotee offered prayer to Lord Shiva.
Local police and emergency teams quickly arrived and took the injured to a nearby hospital.
Later, 11 of the seriously injured were shifted to Tezpur Medical College and Hospital (TMCH) for better treatment.
