Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 Can Apply Online Through https://www.pmuy.gov.in/

Ujjwala Yojana is known as Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) 2025, which is a scheme for woman to provide free gas. The government decided to give free gas to make clean cooking cooking fuel such as LPG available to the rural and deprived households which were otherwise using traditional cooking fuels such as firewood, coal, cow-dung cakes etc.

Now online application is available to apply for the Ujjwala Yojana.

About Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY)

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Scheme is launched on 1^st May 2016 in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh by PM Narendra Modi. The aim of the scheme is to help rural and low-income families switch from smoky cooking fuels like firewood, coal, and cow-dung cakes to clean LPG gas for cooking.

PMUY provides free LPG connections to women from below poverty line (BPL) households, making kitchens smoke-free and safer. The scheme was started to save women and children from the harmful effects of traditional fuels, reduce indoor air pollution, and protect the environment.

Benefit of PMUY

A PMUY beneficiary receives Security deposit free LPG Connection with no installation charges which covers:

1. 14.2 Kg LPG Cylinder/5 Kg LPG Cylinder(s)
2. Domestic Pressure Regulator
3. 1.2 m Surakhsa Hose pipe
4. DGCC booklet
5. Free first refill(s)
6. Free two burner stove

Who are eligible to apply for PMUY Scheme

1. The applicant must be a woman who has attained 18 years of age.
2. There should be no other LPG connection from any Oil Marketing Company (OMC) within the same household.
3. The adult woman must belong to a poor household based on submission of a deprivation declaration (as per prescribed format).

Select the Gas agency and new page will appear

Click on the Register Now and provide your number and email id Click on Submit

Fill the form and click on submit

Offline Apply

Applicants can directly submit the application at preferably nearest LPG distributorship of OMCs.

Documents required for Ujjwala Yojana

1. Know Your Customer (KYC) application form.
2. Proof of Identity (Aadhaar copy of Applicant)
3. Proof of Address (only in case Address in Aadhaar is different from currently residing address) (Self Declaration as per Annexure I for migrant applicants)
