The Youth’s Biswajit Acharjee of Sribhumi dead body found in Barak River two days after drowning at Baruni Mela on March 29. His body was found floating near Lathiramara in Katigorah, close to where he was last seen before being carried away.
On March 27, the youth Biswajit along with his friend went to Baruni Mela at Siddheshwar Shiv Temple ghat. During holy dip he swept away by strong current of river and went missing. He was resident of Shyama Prasad Road in Sribhumi.
The SDRF team along with locals immediately rescue operation but failed to find him. After two days he discovered by locals found floating near Lathiramara in Katigorah and called police on Saturday morning.
Law enforcement officials, accompanied by a magistrate, recovered the body and initiated the necessary legal procedures. The body has been sent for a postmortem examination.
