A henious incident took place in Silchar, Cachar Assam. A man who is teacher of Silchar Polytechnical College brutally attacked and killed his wife out of anger. This incident shocked the locals. The incident took place on Friday night at around ten o’clock at Uttar Krishnapur, Sonai Road, area of Silchar, Cachar, Assam.
According to sources, the quarrel was going on between the husband and wife for a few days. The terrible incident happened when the dispute escalated on Friday night.
The accused husband identified as Afzalur Rahman, a teacher at Silchar Polytechnical College. He is a residents of Dhubri district. For work purposes, he used to live on rent house in Uttar Krishnapur, Sonai road, Silchar. They also have two children together.

Yesterday, after finishing the Tarabi prayer, they returned home and got involved in an argument again over past issues according to some locals. At one point, he grabbed his wife Kohinoor Begum and attacked her with a sharp object. As a result, Kohinoor sustained severe injuries. She suffered severe injuries to her head, face, and hands due to the attack of machete. After the incident, Afzalur flea from the scene.
After the incident the neighbors immediately called the police. Later, the neighbors and the police sent the woman for medical treatment. After emergency treatment, she was admitted to the ICU. Unfortunately, she lost her life while undergoing treatment in the ICU.

After a night-long search, the Cachar police managed to nab Afzalur Rahman. Police now interrogating the accused. Police also recover the machete from his house which was use during attack.
