An ATM Security Guard employed at an SBI ATM in Dibrugarh reportedly died by shooting himself using service rifle on Monday evening.
The SBI ATM security guard identified as Jiten Saikia, a residents of Enajori Path in Gandhi Nagar area. According to police, Saikai shot himself with his service rifle which sustained critical injuries. Immediately after the shoot he is being rushed to hospital, he scummed to his injuries during treatment.
Dibrugarh SP Rakesh Reddy said about the incident by stating, “We have learned that the individual was experiencing psychiatric-related issues. He sustained severe injuries and unfortunately passed away during medical care.”
While the exact cause of the incident remains unclear, police have launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
