Russia has developed its own Cancer Vaccine named mRNA, the countryโs news agency TASS reported. The Russian Health Ministry, General Director of the Radiology Medical Research Centre, Andrey Kaprin told Radio Rossiya that the country has developed its own mRNA vaccine against cancer. He also said that it would be distributed to people for free of charge in the year 2025.
The vaccine was developed in collaboration with several research centers and is expected to ne released in the year 2025.
Director of the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology Alexander Gintsburg told TASS, โthe vaccineโs pre-clinicals trials had shown that it suppresses tumor development and potential metastases.โ
What is mRNA vaccine?
An mRNA vaccine is a type of vaccine that uses a small piece of genetic material called messenger RNA (mRNA) to teach the body’s cells how to produce a harmless protein (or part of a protein) found in a virus. This triggers an immune response, helping the body recognize and fight the virus if it encounters it in the future. Now Russia scientist has said that they have produced or developed mRNA vaccine against cancer. They also said that it will be distributed among the people for free in the year of 2025.

Can AI Help to generate Personalised Cancer Vaccine?
Earlier, during an interview on December 9 at TASS Mr Gintsburg told that the use of artificial neural networks could reduce the time needed to design a personalized cancer vaccine to less than an hour.
He also state, โNow it takes quite long to build [personalized vaccines] because computing of how a vaccine, or customized mRNA, should look like uses matrix methods, in mathematical terms. We have involved the Ivannikov Institute which will rely on AI in doing this math, namely neural network computing where these procedures should take about half an hour to an hour.โ
