On October 16, after the arrested of Partha Hazarika, Office Superintendent, Excise Department near the main gate of Janata Bhawan, Dispur for accepting bribe, a raid has been conducted to his house at Basistha, Guwahati, Assam.
In this raid, the Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam has seized Rs.47,30,500/- (Rupees Forty Seven Lakh Thirty Thousand Five Hundred Only).
The Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam has said, “(Ref-Trap of Partha Hazarika, Section Officer) During search of his house today at Basistha, Guwahati, Rs. 4730500/-(Rupees Forty Seven Lakh Thirty Thousand Five Hundred Only) has been recovered & seized by @DIR_VAC_ASSAM.”
Earlier, on October 17, trapped red-handed Partha Hazarika, Office Superintendent, Excise Department near the main gate of Janata Bhawan, Dispur by the team of Vigilance for accepting bribe. He accepted Rs. 24,500/- from the complainant for issuing bar license.
He was trapped red handed near the main gate of Janata Bhawan. According to some reports, he initially demanded a total of Rs.1 lakh for the bar license. He had already received Rs. 40,000 from the complainant as part bribe before.
