Guwahati Police seized a huge amount of heroin worth in the area of ISBT inside a parked bus on April 11 night. Four person arrested in connection of it.
According to information, based on secret inputs police launched an operation in the ISBT Bus stationed. There they intercepted a bus number AR 11 B 8912, which reportedly arrived from Aizawl, Mizoram.
During the search operation, police managed to seized 35 packets cases of heroin weighing 455 grams. They were not concealed in the soap cases. Usually police seized heroin which concealed in soap cases.
As per reports, the drugs were being transported for distribution across the state including Hojai and Rangia.
The arrested four person identified as the driver, Md Sahabuddin from Raha, two handymen, Uttam Nath from Bokolia and Safiur Rahman from Goalpara; and the alleged recipient, Jiaur Rahman of Howly. The accused has promised them a substantial amount of money for transporting the illegal things.
Further investigation is going on.
