In a major breakthrough, on Thursday morning Sribhumi Police seized a massive amount of Yaba Tablets from a vehicle at Kandigram under Badarpur area.
Acting on tip off, Karimganj Police intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number AS 01 MC 2851 coming from Imphal, Manipur. During search operation police recovered 1,50,000 Yaba Tablets from a secret chamber of the vehicle. The tablets were concealed in packets. The market value of the seized items would be Rs 32 Crore.
The vehicle was coming Imphal, which was part of a drug trafficking operation. Aong with vehicle police also seized another vehicle bearing registration number TR 01 AX 1646.
Police arrested three individual in connection of it. They are identified as Yahiya khan, arsident of Kwakta village under Moirang Police station in Bishnupur district of Manipur and Suman Uddin, a residents of Tilabari village under Patharkandi Police Station in Sribhumi.

The drugs were found hidden in a secret compartment under the car’s bonnet. This successful bust shows how alert the Sribhumi Police are in stopping illegal drug movement in the area. Investigations are still going on to find out more about the larger smuggling network behind this case.
