PM Modi express pain while addressing Independence Day Speech
He stated, โI want to share my pain once again from the Red Fort today. As a society, we must seriously consider the increasing violence against women. There is anger about this across the country, and I can feel it. The country, society, and state governments need to address this issue seriously. Itโs important to investigate crimes against women quickly and ensure that those who commit such terrible acts are punished severely and swiftly. This will help build trust in our society.โ
“I also want to point out that when rapes and other crimes against women happen, they get a lot of attention. But when the criminals are punished, it barely makes the news. We need to talk more about those who are punished, so everyone knows that committing these crimes can lead to the harshest penalties, even death. Itโs crucial to create a sense of fear among those who might consider committing such acts.โ
