A shocking incident took place in Bengaluru, Karnataka, where former Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Om Prakash was brutally murdered at his residence in Bengaluru during the early hours of Sunday.
The retired IPS officer, belonging to the 1981 batch Om Prakash (68 years) allegedly murder by his wife, Pallavi following a heated domestic altercation over property issue.

According to police, the dispute turned violent when Pallavi threw Red Chilli powder into Om Prakash eyes. After that she tied and attacked him with a sharp object and a glass bottle. In this the retired official suffered multiple stabbed, wound in his chest and abdomen. In these injuries he died in the spot.
After the crime, Pallavi called another senior police officer wife and confessed about the crime. That officer immediately called the police. A team of police arrived the crime spot at around 4 am and arrested the wife and detained the daughter.
Police interrogate both wife and daughter for 12 hours and found wife Pallavi as prime suspect. While the role of the daughter remains under scrutiny.
The incident reportedly stemmed from a family dispute, specifically a property transfer made by Om Prakash in favor of another relative, which allegedly enraged Pallavi and led to the deadly confrontation.
A formal case has been registered based on a complaint filed by Om Prakash’s son.
Bengaluru Additional Commissioner of Police Vikas Kumar confirmed the timeline of events, stating that the police received information about the death at around 4 AM and swiftly launched an investigation.
