Superstar Rajinikanth has started shooting for the upcoming film Thalaivar 170 a few weeks ago. He is very excited to work with his Hum co-star and mentor, Amitabh Bachchan. On 25 October he officially shared a picture with Amitabh from the sets of his upcoming film.
He announced very excitedly, “After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca’s “Thalaivar 170″ directed by T.J Gnanavel. My heart is thumping with joy!”

About the film Thalaivar 170 where Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan will reunite
Superstar Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan seen together in the year 1991 released film Hum. Now again, we will have them in one Film.
Rajinikanth last seen in the Film Jailer, directed by Nelson. It crossed over Rs. 650 crore worldwide. After the success of the film he started shooting for the film Thalaiver 170. The shooting of the film has started in Trivandrum in Kerela.
During a media interview, he unveiled that the forthcoming movie is set to be a high-budget commercial extravaganza infused with a profound message.
Thalaivar 170′ boasts a star-studded cast, featuring Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rakshan, and GM Soundar in significant roles. The movie brought to life by Lyca Productions and helmed by the talented TJ Gnanavel as both the writer and director. Completing the creative team are composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer SR Kathir, and editor Philomin Raj.
Anirudh Ravichandra will compose the music for the film, and it will produce by Subaskaran.
