NEET 2024 Question Paper Leak: Four people in Bihar arrested for leaking National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2024 question. Among the arrested individual one is Junior Engineer at Danapur Municipal council Sikandar Yadavendu. The other three arrested individual are candidates Anurag Yadav, Nitish Kumar and Amit Anand.

They all arrested by the confession of Suspect to receiving and memorizing the leaked question paper of NEET 2024 exam. This raises serious concerns about the integrity of the NEET-UG examination 2024 process.

Mastermind Anurag Yadav arrested has arrested in connection with result irregularities after confession that the leaked question paper he received that matched the actual exam paper.

Anurag Yadav, the nephew of an engineer from Bihar’s Danapur Town Council, explained how his relative, Sikandar Prasad Yadavendu, told him about the exam arrangements.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha accused that the leader of the opposition in Bihar, Tejaswi Yadav involved in the scandal.

During a press conference in Patna, deputy CM stated that on May 1 and May 4, Pritam Kumar, who was Tejashwi Yadav’s personal secretary when he was a minister, contacted an employee of the Bihar road construction department. The purpose was to arrange accommodation for Sikander Kumar Yadavendu, an engineer involved in the NEET-UG question paper leak.

Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Sinha says, “On May 1, Tejashwi Yadav’s personal secretary Pritam Kumar called guesthouse worker Pradip Kumar to book a room for Sikander Kumar Yadavendu… On May 4, Pritam Kumar called Pradip Kumar again for booking the room… The word ‘mantri’ was used for Tejashwi Yadav…”

He also added, โ€œTejashwi Yadav should clarify if Pritam Kumar is still his PS and he should also clarify who is Sikander Kumar Yadavendu. When Lalu Prasad Yadav was jailed in Ranchi, Sikander Kumar Yadavendu used to be at Lalu’s service… He was a JE in the irrigation department.โ€

Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police arrest 13 people

The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police has arrested 13 people in connection with the alleged NEET-UG 2024 paper leak, including four examinees and their family members. All those arrested are from Bihar, according to Manavjit Singh Dhillon, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), EOU.

Ahilesh Kumar, whose son Ayush was also arrested from DAV school, confessed that Sikander Prasad Yadvendu assured him of success in the NEET exam and demanded โ‚น40 lakh from him to provide the examination papers.

Sikander, in his confession to the police, stated that Amit and Nitish assured him they could manage to obtain competitive exam papers for guaranteed success. “They asked for โ‚น30-32 lakh per candidate, but I asked for โ‚น40 lakh each to keep โ‚น8 lakh for myself,” he told the police.
