The Nagaon district administration has launched a large-scale eviction drive in Kampur to reclaim government land reportedly under illegal occupation.
The operation, which began on Saturday, November 29, is being conducted across Kandapar, Chamkhola, and Lutumari.
Official sources confirmed that the mission aims to free a total of 5,962 bighas of encroached land. Security forces and administrative teams are actively engaged to ensure the smooth and safe execution of the eviction.
Authorities stated that the drive is progressing peacefully, with no major resistance from occupants. The administration further noted that the reclaimed land will be utilized for future development and public welfare projects.
This eviction initiative is part of the district’s broader effort to curb unauthorized land occupation and restore government property to its rightful use.
