Minor Girl Gang Raped in Dhing, Nagaon: Shutdown Imposed

A class X student girl who was returning from tuition allegedly gang raped by three person and left her unconscious state in the road of Dhing area in Nagaon district, Assam on August 22 (Thursday) evening.

The incident has escalated tension in the area. On August 23, all the institution as well, Bazar has shut down in mark of protest. Over 100 Local people has come out on the road and demand justice of the minor girl.

According to the reports, the minor student was found in a semi-conscious state lying near a pond with her bicycle beside her, by some locals in the area of Dhing of Nagaon district, Assam. They immediately called the local police station. After getting the information about the incident police immediately rescued the girl. They also sent her to the Dhing FRU for medical assistance.

The incident has taken place when the minor girl was returning from her tuition at around 6 pm. She has been gang raped by three men. She reportedly found near road without any clothing four around 1 hour after.

According to local residents, โ€œWe saw a girl was lying near a pond with her cycle laying besides her. We went her and asked what happened. She told three men raped her. We demand culprit to be arrest with 12 hours.โ€

Today August 23, AASU and many others has demanded the state government to arrest all the culprits, demand justice of the girl and gave the harshest possible punishment.

First arrested Tafazzul Islam in connection of Dhing rapped case

Police also arrest two accused Jonaidul Islam and Tafazzul Islam in connection of it and they are in police custody.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said about the incident of Dhing raped case

CM Himanta Biswa has said DGP GP Singh to visit the site and also said that the accused in connection will not spare.

He state via X, โ€œThe horrific incident at Dhing, involving a minor, is a crime against humanity and has struck our collective conscience. We will NOT SPARE anyone & BRING the perpetrators to JUSTICE. I’ve directed @DGPAssamPolice to visit the site and ensure swift action against such monsters.โ€
