Cyclone Remal has affected many areas Manipur is among the one. Manipur trigged heavy rainfall after the cyclone remal passed. Several Place of Manipur is affected by the flood because of Heavy rainfall, the place includes Manipur capital Imphal. At around thousand people are affected as reports by the Manipur officials.

Imphal City is full of flash flood water. Resue operation is going on from the flood affected areas. Many people have been rescued from the flood affected area. Loktak Development Authority has been actively involved in relief operation. Chief Minister Personally supervising the situation.

A team, led by LDA Chairman M. Asnikumar Singh and Project Director Bhagaton, is working closely with the Chief Secretary, district administration, and other relevant groups to reduce the impact of the recent floods.

According to some reports the LDA team has rescued more than 800 people who are affected by the floods. The relief and rescue operation is still going on.

86 areas in Imphal West districts, including Khuman Lampak, Nagaram, Sagolband, Uripok, Keisamthong and Paona area were affected by flash flood due to overflowing of Nambal River.

Due heavy rainfall the Imphal river water level has increased and overflow the water and entered in Keirang, Khabam, and Lairiyengbam Leikai in Imphal East district. Due to the condition the water also entered in Imphal city and the flood situation took place.

3 people died and Several Rescued due to Manipur Flood

As many as 3 people has reported died in Manipur. A 34-year-old man died, and three others were injured in a landslide caused by heavy rain on Thonglang road in Senapati district on Wednesday.

Another reports came that An 83-year-old woman drowned in the overflowing Senapati river, officials said. In Imphal, a 75-year-old man was electrocuted on Wednesday when he touched an electric pole during the rain, they added.

A team of National Disaster Response Force has arrived in Imphal and they also started the rescue operation with locals.
