Massive Fire Broke Out at Ledo Bazar in Tinsukia, Assam amid protests and strikes in the district organized by the All Moran Student Union and All Assam Motok Yuba Chatra Sanmelan.
According to reports, the fire broke out at around 11:40 am, at the building owned by Guvin Chetry at Ledo Bazar, Tinsukia. It has said that the structure was under construction at the time of the incident.
The exact cause of fire remains unclear, but it is suspected that it could be stemmed from a short circuit flammable construction materials like tyres, or shuttering equipment.
DB Chetry as local residents stated, โGuvin Chetry is the proprietor of the building, and since construction work was ongoing, we believe any of these factors could have triggered the blaze, though we cannot confirm the exact cause.”
Fire Brigade and police personnel form Ledo arrived at the scene immediately and took control over the fire, stopping it from spreading or causing more damage.
