Karimganj Police on September 9, arrested the Hemant Kumar Gogoi, the alleged mastermind behind the large financial fraud scam operation.
The accused arrested in the area of Paltanbazar, Guwahati. Hemant Kumar Gogoi is accused of running several money marketing company, which is the center of fraud scam. In this fraud scam thousand of people has cheated.
On September 3, Karimganj police launched raid in Singhania Fintech Agribusiness Consortium Limited, Karimganj Branch in financial fraud scam. During the raid they had seized incrementing documents and also arrest Company’s Co-Ordinator Rahul Roy.
The company had collected ₹2,000 from thousands of people under the false promise of providing substantial loans of 25,000 INR but the people didn’t get. Following the raid, police investigation led to arrested Hemant Kumar Gogoi in Guwahati. Authorities also revealed that Gogoi has five pending cases in Meghalaya, adding to the seriousness of the charges. The investigation is still ongoing as police try to uncover the full scale of the financial scam.
