Kamrup Metro, Cachar & Sribhumi Revise School Timings to 7:30 AM from June 11 Amid Heatwave

Kamrup Metro, cachar, Sribhumi has recised the school timing to 7:30 am which will come to effective from June 11, 2025. The decision come after Education Minister Ranoj Pegu urges.

He stated, “In view of the heat wave alert issued by the Meteorological Department, all District Commissioners are requested to remain vigilant and exercise their delegated authority to reschedule school hours as per local weather conditions.”

This decision of school revised timings is for both Government and Private school.

Kamrup Metro School Timing from June 11, 2025

L.P Schools: 7:30 am to 11:30 am

M.E. Schools: 7:30 am to 12:00 noon

High Schools: 7:30 am to 12:30 pm

Schools are also instructed to conduct the morning assembly inside the classroom or shaded area and no outdoor activities must be conducted.

Schools should ensure that students should drink sufficient water for which three / four water bells must be rang during the school hours and ensure enough drinking water facility inside the school premises.

This order comes into force with immediate effect and shall remain remaining in force till Monday i.e. 16th June ‘2025.

Cachar School Timing from June 11, 2025

L.P Schools: 7:30 am to 12:15 am

M.E. Schools: 7:30 am to 12:45 noon

High Schools: 7:30 am to 1:15 pm

Sribhumi School Timing from June 11, 2025

L.P Schools: 7:30 am to 11:30 am

M.E. Schools: 7:30 am to 12:00 noon

High Schools: 7:30 am to 12:30 pm

1. All Head of Institutions should ensure that Morning Assemblies are conducted inside the Class rooms.

2. School should ensure that students should drink sufficient water and ensure enough drinking water facility inside the school.

3. Students can be advised not to wear waistcoats or ties.

4. School should ensure that all fans are functional and all classrooms are properly ventilated.

5. In case of power cuts alternate power back-ups must be arranged.
