Intelligence Bureau (IB) has released a notification for the 2025 recruitment of 3717 Assistant Central Intelligent Officer (ACIO) post Grade–II/Executive. The eligible and interested candidate can apply online before 10 August, 2025 through (www.mha.gov.in) or NCS portal (www.ncs.gov.in).

According to IB notification, “Applicants are advised to go through all parameters under different paras and sub-paras and satisfy themselves about their suitability in terms of age limit, essential qualifications, etc. for the post of ACIO-II/Exe before applying. Candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria of the post may apply ONLINE through MHA’s website (www.mha.gov.in) or NCS portal (www.ncs.gov.in) only.

Essential Qualification: Graduation or equivalent from a recognized university

Application Fees
All SC/ST candidates, female candidates and those Ex-Servicemen who are eligible for reservation, are exempted from payment of examination fee, i.e., ₹ 100/-. However, they will have to pay the Recruitment Processing Charges i.e., ₹ 550/-.
Ex-servicemen who have already secured employment in civil side under Central Govt in Group ‘C’ post on regular basis after availing benefits of reservation given to them are required to pay the examination fee, i.e., ₹ 100/- also along with recruitment processing charges of ₹ 550/- total ₹ 650/-.

Now click on apply
Step-I: Registration of Personal & Contact details. Login Id and password will be sent to you through sms and e-mail on your registered mobile number and e-mail ID.
Step-II: Re-login and select the category and fill up the Personal Details, Qualification Details,
Upload photo & signature and submit examination fees
Candidate may generate payment acknowledgement slip for future reference.
The e-challan generated after submission of online application form will be valid till 04 days from the date of generation of e-challan, take a print out of it.

Selection Procedure
Written Exam
Tier-I exam: 100 Objective type MCQs, divided into 5 parts containing 20 questions of 1 mark each on
a. Current Affairs,
b. General Studies,
c. Numerical aptitude,
d. Reasoning/logical aptitude
e. English
[Negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer.]
Tier-II: Descriptive type paper of 50 marks: Essay (20 marks);
English comprehension (10 marks) & Long answer type questions (2 questions of 10 marks each on Current Affairs, Economics, Socio-political issues etc. (20 marks).

Cut of Marks of Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2025
In order to achieve qualitative selection & recruit the best available talent, there would be cut-off marks (out of 100) in Tier-I exam as under: UR-35, OBC-34, SC/ST-33 & EWS-35 (all Ex-servicemen would be treated in their own category viz., UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS)
