The Indian Hockey Team defeated China Hockey team by 1-0 to win 5th Asian Men’s Hockey Champions Trophy 2024 on September 17.

Jugraj Singh who scored the goal which help to win Indian Hockey team in the Asian Champions Trophy 2024. He scored the goal in 51 minutes to help India to secured the win of the trophy.

Both China and India work hard to win the title of Asian Champions trophy. By winning the Asian Men’s Hockey Champions Trophy 2024, India becomes most winning Asian Men’s Hockey Champions Trophy. Pakistan at Second spot by winning third title including one shared by India.

The Asian Men’s Hockey Champions Trophy 2024 final game started with China trying to put the Indian defence under pressure. India’s first real chance came early in the first quarter when Sukhjeet’s clever shot was well-saved by the Chinese goalkeeper.

India earned their first penalty corner in the 9th minute, but the Chinese defense held firm. Another opportunity came soon after, but Harmanpreet’s attempt went wide. China finished the quarter strongly, forcing Indian goalkeeper Krishan Pathak to save two penalty corners.

The second quarter was mostly a tight contest, with China defending deep and making it hard for India to break through. In the 27th minute, Harmanpreet had a great chance from a penalty corner, but his shot bounced off the post. Moments later, India was awarded a penalty stroke after a foul on Manpreet Singh. However, China successfully reviewed the decision, and the score remained 0-0 at halftime.

India dominated the third quarter with several attacks, but China’s defense stayed solid. China also earned a couple of penalty corners, but India’s defense, led by Pathak, stood strong. In the 41st minute, Pathak made another crucial save to deny China.

As the final quarter began, India increased the pressure, and finally, in the 51st minute, Harmanpreet made a brilliant run into the circle and set up Jugraj, who calmly scored the decisive goal.

China responded by bringing on a flying goalkeeper, pushing hard for an equalizer, but India’s defense held firm. In the end, India secured the 1-0 victory and lifted the 2024 Asian Champions Trophy.
