Hardik Pandya the captain of Mumbai Indians (MI) and also player of Indian international team has banned for one match in IPL 2025. He has banned for his team slow over rate against Lucknow Super Giant (LSG) at the Wankhede Stadium on 18 March match.
He has banned only for one match that is first match in next season IPL match as because MI have already played their last match in IPL 2024 season.
If he also even played from others team he will miss the first match of next IPL 2025 team.
Hardik Pandya and the Mumbai Indians penalized for failing to complete their overs within the allocated time during matches against Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants. According to IPL rules, if a team breaches the slow over-rate regulation three times in a season, the captain faces a one-match ban. This is the third time this IPL season.
Hardik Pandya Banned for one match fined 30 lakh
As usual, Hardik Pandya received a one-match ban and a fine of INR 30 lakhs. Additionally, each member of the playing XI, including the Impact Player, was fined either INR 12 lakhs or 50% of their match fees, whichever was lower.
This match is a disappointed season for MI and Hardik. Their 18-run loss to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) left MI with only four wins from 14 games, placing them at the bottom of the points table.
In this season Hardik Pandya was trolled very much as he left the GT team and again joint the team MI and also took over the captaincy from Rohit Sharma. After the decision he faced criticism from the Wankhede crowd throughout the tournament.
In this season he managed to score 216 runs at an average of 18.00 with a strike rate of 143.04, and took 11 wickets at an economy rate of 10.75.
