Assam Police arrested four poachers near Orang National Park who allegedly plotting to kill rhinos on Diwali night.

According to information, based on tip off Dalgaon police were able to intercept a group before they could harm endangered rhinos in the park.

The arrested were identified as Abdul Ali, Azdahar Ali, Ali Hussain, and Khalilur Rahman, are all residents of Kaupati village, situated close to the national park. Police seized a .303 rifle and a rifle barrel from arrested suspect. The arrests disrupted what appeared to be a carefully organized plan to target rhinos.

An Investigation is going on this case to gather more details about their activities, associates and the boarder poaching ring.
