A horrific road accident took place at Katakhal Bypass in Hailakandi district on September 7, in which 4 people died. The accident took place when an Eon and an Alto car collided head-on.
The died people identified as Brajagopal Das age 60, Gopa Das age 55 wife of Brajagopal, Romendra Narayan Das age 54 and driver Ajit Debnath. All the deceased was residents of Dharmagarh Colony in Badarpur, Karimganj, identified by local authorities.
All the four people who died in the Road Accident at Katakhal Bypass were the passenger of Eon car. This all deceased were died in spot.
Three passenger of Alto car were injured seriously. They all are immediately rescued and sent them to Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
An Eyewitness said that the vehicles collided head on which led to instant death of the four people. Further investigation is going on. Police has cornered off the area.
