Breaking News: Major Fire broke out at Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj’s Sector 18, Fire Tenders at spot
Major fire broke out again at Maha Kumbh Mela in Sector 18, Shankaracharya March, Prayagraj on Friday, at morning, Fire under control, an official said.
At least 20-22 tents burnt out in this fire incident. No casualties reported.
Speaking to media ANI, Chief fire officer Pramod Sharma stated that the fire started from ISKCON Tent and then it spread through other tent. NDRF team had deployed at the spot.
The police currently investigating to find out the reason behind the fire.
SP Sarvesh Kumar Mishra stated, “The fire has been brought under control. There has been no loss over life. the reason behind the fire is under investigation.”
Inspector Yogesh Chaturvedi of Khak Chowk police station stated news agency PTI “A fire broke out at a camp near Tulsi Chauraha on Old GT Road. However, firefighters have managed to bring the blaze largely under control.”
Last week, on January 30 fire broke out in the open area near Chamangunj outpost outside Sector 22 in Mahakumbh Mela, where 15 tents gutted into fire. The fire department responded quickly and took control. No casualties reported.
Earlier on January 19, major fire broke out at Maha Kumbh Mela after a gas cylinder blast at the kitchen of the Geeta Press camp in Sector 19, which situated between the old and the new railway bridges in the MahaKumbh Mela area, Prayagraj.
During the chaos, one person injured his leg while trying to escape and fell unconscious. He was taken to Swaroop Medical College in Prayagraj, and he is stable and out of danger. At least 40 huts and 6 tents gutted into the fire.
