Cachar Police carried out another successful operation against fake doctors in Cachar district, continuing their strict action to protect public health. On Monday evening, police arrested Rajul Haque Laskar, a resident of Nagadirgram 4th Block under Sonai Police Station. Officials also recovered several forged medical documents from his possession.
According to sources, Rajul Haque had been operating a pharmacy named “Bobby Healthcare” for nearly 15 to 16 years and was allegedly offering medical treatments and even performing minor surgeries without any valid medical license.
A special investigation team from Cachar Police, acting on a confidential tip-off, raided the site and caught Rajul Haque in the act while he was treating patients illegally. Superintendent of Police Partha Pratim Das confirmed the arrest and emphasized that the drive against unqualified practitioners will continue in the district.
With this latest arrest, the total number of fake doctors apprehended in Cachar’s ongoing anti-fraud operation has reached 15.
