A massive earthquake magnitude of 7.1 hit the northern foothills of the Himalayas near Tibet ’s Xigaze city on Tuesday morning. At around 53 people killed and over 60 people injured in this earthquake. The tremors felt in Nepal, Bhutan and India.
According to NCS, “EQ of M: 7.1, On: 07/01/2025 06:35:18 IST, Lat: 28.86 N, Long: 87.51 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Xizang.”
The earthquake centered depth at a depth of 10 kilometres at the location in Xizang. In India the tremors felt in Bihar and several parts of North India.
After the massive earthquake at least 10 more earthquake felt in the same region.
China’s earthquake monitoring agency reported a 6.8 magnitude quake, with the epicenter located at an altitude of approximately 4,200 meters (13,800 feet), according to state broadcaster CCTV.
