Chief Minister’s Jibon Prerana Scheme: On March 10, during Assam Budget 2025, Assam Government introduced CM Jibon Prerana Scheme, which will financially aid and support to the youth during Job search period.
This initiative aims to assist and give support to the fresh graduate and researches scholars.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, “We are launching the biggest effort to support the aspirations of our youth completing graduation through a motivational support of ₹2,500 per month through the Jibon Prerana scheme.”
When to launch the Chief Minister’s Jibon Prerana Scheme?
The CM Jibon Prerana Scheme will launch on October 2025. During Assam Budget 2025 on March 10. Rs 24 Crore allocated for the scheme.
Benefits of CMJP Scheme
Graduates passing out in 2025 from government universities/colleges of Assam will receive ₹2,500 per month for up to one year.
On the recommendation of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), eligible candidates may receive one-time financial assistance of ₹25,000 instead of monthly installments.
Support for Research Scholars:
A one-time grant of ₹25,000 will be provided to research scholars of state and central government universities, regardless of gender.
Divyang (disabled) research scholars will receive ₹50,000 as assistance.
Eligibility for the Scheme
Only permanent residents of Assam shall be eligible under this scheme. Those who graduate are passed out in 2025.
