On 24th May, Cachar police managed to sized huge amount of drugs worth Rs 40 lakh in the middle of the Silchar city. One person arrested.
Based on secret inputs, Cachar police launched operation near DSA, Silchar and seized 7 soap cases containing 78 gram suspected heroin. One individual arrested in connection of it. The individual identified as Ikbal Hussain, residents of Algapur Part 2, under Sonai police station.
The market value of the seized items would be Rs 40 lakh.
Further investigation is going on.
