Cachar Police acting on Tip Off launched an operation at Sunabarighat, Sonai where they nabbed two suspected person with Indian Fake Currency on December 4.
According to information this two suspected person were arrested from Sunabarighat bypass. The arrested person identified as Md. Akbor Ali Majumdar of Gangapur Part XIII, Krishnapur, under Kachudharam Police Station and Md. Maidul Islam Laskar of Motinagar Didarkush Grant, under Lakhinagar police station, Dist- Cachar (Assam)
Police recovered 181 counterfeit currency notes of Rs 500 a total of Rs. 90,500 from their possession.
Further investigation is going on.
Cachar Police stated, “Acting on a tip-off, CacharPolice nabbed two suspected persons at Sunabarighat Bypass, namely-
1. Md. Akbor Ali Majumdar
S/O Anor Ali majumdar
Vill- Gangapur Part XIII, Krishnapur,
PS: Kachudharam Dist- Cachar (Assam) &
2. Md. Maidul Islam Laskar
S/O Safar Ali Laskar
Vill- Motinagar Didarkush Grant,
PS- Lakhinagar, Dist- Cachar (Assam)
And confiscating 181 counterfeit currency notes of Rs 500 (Total Rs. 90,500) from their possession. Investigation is on.”
Earlier, December 3 Katigorah Police arrested a man in the area of Kalain with fake ₹500 notes total ₹80,000. He was arrested while he was headed towards Kalain in a passenger auto-rickshaw.
