On Sunday morning the two missing NIT Silchar students dead bodies recovered from Lower Bolsol Waterfall in Harangajao, Dima Hasao. The rescue teams recovered the bodies of the dead body of two missing NIT Silchar students — Sauhard Rai (20) from Uttar Pradesh and Radhika (19) from Bihar.

Their recovery follows the retrieval of Sarvakritika Singh’s body on Saturday night after all three reportedly drowned at the scenic but dangerous Bulchol Waterfall.

According to officials, a joint rescue operation involving the SDRF and NDRF resumed early Sunday after being suspended overnight due to darkness. After several hours of search efforts, the bodies of Sauhard Rai and Radhika were located downstream. Dima Hasao Superintendent of Police Ripunjoy Kakoti confirmed.

Reacting to the tragedy, Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, expressed deep sorrow over the incident. In a statement, he wrote:

“Three deceased bodies which were drown yesterday in a tragic incident that occurred at Harangajao Bulchol Waterfall has been recovered by NDRF Dima Hasao today.

Thanks to Dima Hasao Superintendent of Police and District Commissioner of their tireless efforts.”

The Boulchol Waterfall has long been a popular destination for both NIT Silchar students and residents of Silchar. According to sources, a group of seven students from the institute had gone to the spot on Saturday when the tragic accident occurred.
